Cidalia Paiva, Ph.D 

President

Dr. Paiva holds a Ph.D in Philosophy with a specialization in bio-medical ethics. After completing her Ph.D at York University in Ontario Dr. Paiva was employed as a clinical ethicist at a number of community hospitals throughout the greater Toronto area and provided ethics consulting services to several other organizations.

 

In addition to her work as a clinical ethicist she has also enjoyed a very successful career as an instructor and curriculum developer for medical interns, nurses, ambulatory care attendants, massage therapists, naturopathic physicians, traditional chinese medicine doctors, holistic counselors, pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.

 

Dr. Paiva has also created and supported the development and implementation of customized programs in ethics for numerous healthcare regulatory bodies and professional associations and is the author of four books and dozens of articles in the area of ethics and professionalism.

 

Lori DeCou 

Vice-President

Ms. DeCou has more than 20 years experience in communications and marketing for a wide-range of organizations from national retailers to healthcare regulatory bodies.

 

Whether writing a speech, developing a powerpoint presentation or gathering content for a customized resource manual she has the unique ability of taking the ‘complex’ and making it ‘simple’. 

 

As Vice-President of Ethics Inc. Ms. DeCou uses this skill-set to help clients receive tailored communications that are clear and concise and will effectively convey the concepts of ethics and professionalism in a way that will resonate with the audience.
